"Angels Among Us". "I was walking home from school on a cold winter's day Took a shortcut through
the woods and I lost my way It was gettin' late, I was scared and alone Then a kind man took my hand and he led me home Mama
couldn't see him though he was standing there But I knew in my heart he was the answer to my prayer Chorus: Oh,
I believe there are angels among us Sent down to us from somewhere up above They come to you and me in our darkest hours To
show us how to live To teach us how to give To guide us with the light of love When life held troubled times and
had me down on my knees There's always been someone to come along and comfort me A kind word from a stranger to lend a helping
hand A phone call from a friend to say they understand Now ain't it kind of funny at the dark end of the road Someone lights
the way with just a single ray of hope (Chorus) Bridge: They wear so many faces Show up in the strangest
places To grace us with their mercy in our time of need" (Chorus) *********************************************
The Star Spangled Banner Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at
the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts
we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through
the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free
and the home of the brave? On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host
in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, now conceals,
now discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. And
where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a country should
leave us no more? Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and
slave From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er
the land of the free and the home of the brave. Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved
homes and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land Praise the Power that hath
made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God
is our trust." And the star-spangled banner forever shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the
brave! ********************************************** God Bless America God Bless America. Land
that I love Stand beside her, and guide her Thru the night with a light from above. From the mountains, to the
prairies , To the oceans, white with foam God bless America My home sweet home. God Bless America, Land
that I love Stand beside her, And guide her, Through the night With the light from above, From the mountains,
To the prairies, To the ocean, White with foam, God bless America, My home sweet home. God bless America,
My home sweet home. ****************************************** One Moment In Time Each day
I live, I want to be, A day to give, The best of me. I'm only one, But not alone, My finest day,
Is yet unknown. I broke my heart, Fought every gain, To taste the sweet, I face the pain. I
rise and fall, Yet through it all, This much remains. I want one moment in time, When I'm more than I
thought I could be. Then all of my dreams are a heartbeat away, And the answers are all up to me. Give me
one moment in time, When I'm racing with destiny, Then in that one moment of time, I will feel, I will feel
eternity. I've lived to be, The very best. I want it all, No time for less. I've laid the plans,
Now lay the chance, Here in my hands. Give me one moment in time, When I'm more than I thought I could
be. When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away, And the answers are all up to me. Give me one moment in time,
When I'm racing with destiny. Then in that one moment of time, I will feel, I will feel eternity. You're
a winner for a lifetime, If you seize that one moment in time, Make it shine. Give me one moment in time,
When I'm more than I thought I could be, When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away, And the answers are all up
to me. Give me one moment in time, When I'm racing with destiny. Then in that one moment of time, I will
be, I will be, I will be free. I will be free. ****************************************** AMAZING
GRACE Amazing grace! How sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How
precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have
already come; 'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far And grace shall lead me home. The Lord has promised
good to me, His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be; As long as life endures. Yea,
when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of
joy and peace. The world shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun refuse to shine; But God, who called me here
below, Shall be forever mine. When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We've
no less days to sing God's praise, Than when we first begun. ********************************************
The Old Rugged Cross On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, The emblem of suffering and shame; An
I love that old cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain. So Ill cherish the old rugged
cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for
a crown. O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world, Has a wondrous attraction for me; For the dear
Lamb of God left His glory above, To bear it to dark Calvary. So Ill cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies
at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown. In the old
rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, A wondrous beauty I see; For twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and
died To pardon and sanctify me. So Ill cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown. To the old rugged cross I will ever
be true, Its shame and reproach gladly bear; then Hell call me someday to my home far away, Where His glory forever
Ill share. So Ill cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the
old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown. ***********************************************

I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony) Adapted from a Coca Cola commercial Id like
to build the world a home And furnish it with love Grow apple trees and honey bees and snow-white turtle doves
I'd like to teach the world to sing In perfect harmony I'd like to hold it in my arms and keep it company
I'd like to see the world for once All standing hand in hand And hear them echo through the hills "Ah, peace
throughout the land" (That's the song I hear) I'd like to teach the world to sing (that the world sings
today) In perfect harmony <See Note below> I'd like to teach the world to sing In perfect
harmony Id like to build the world a home And furnish it with love Grow apple trees and honey bees and snow-white
turtle doves NOTE: "Call and response" singing can be typed with the background singers' words in
(parentheses) BUT from here on both the lead singer and background singers are, for the most part, singing simultaneously---which
is impossible to represent typographically. ***************************************************

are wondering why. Mom won't watch the news at night There's too much stuff (that's) making her cry. We need
some help Down here on earth A thousand prayers, a million words But one voice was heard. A house,
a yard, a neighborhood Where you can ride your new bike to school. A perfect world where mom and dad Still believe
the golden rule Life's not that simple Down here on earth. A thousand prayers, a million words But one
voice was heard. One voice, one simple word Hearts know what to say. One dream can change the world Keep
believing till you find your way. Yesterday while walking home I saw some kid on Newbury Bridge He had
a pistol from his bag And tossed it in the river below. Thanks for the help Down here on Earth. A thousand
prayers, a million words One voice was heard. One voice was heard. One voice was heard. ****************************************
The Deck of Cards NARRATIVE: During the North African campaign, a bunch of soldier boys had been on a long hike and
they arrived in a little town called Cascina. The next morning being Sunday, several of the boys went to Church. A sergeant
commanded the boys in Church and after the Chaplain had read the prayer, the text was taken up next. Those of the
boys who had a prayer book took them out, but this one boy had only a deck of cards, and so he spread them out. The Sergeant
saw the cards and said, "Soldier put away those cards." After the services was over, the soldier was taken prisoner
and brought before the Provost Marshall. The Marshall said, "Sergeant, why have you brought the man here?"
"For playing cards in church, Sir." "And what have you got to say for yourself, son?" "Much, Sir."
Replied the soldier. The Marshall said, "I hope so, for if not I shall punish you more than any man was ever punished."
The soldier said, "Sir, I've been on the march for about six days, I had neither Bible nor prayer book, but
I hope to satisfy you, Sir, with the purity of my intentions." With that, the boy started his story:
You see Sir, when I look at the "ACE", it reminds me that there is but one God; And the "DEUCE"
reminds me that the Bible is divided into two parts; The Old and the New Testaments; And when I see the "TREY",
I think of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; And when I see the "FOUR", I think of the four Evangelists
who preached the Gospel. There was Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; And when I see the "FIVE", it reminds
me of the five wise virgins who trimmed their lamps. There were ten of them, five were wise and were saved. Five were foolish
and were shut out; And when I see the "SIX", it reminds me that in six days, God made this great heaven
and earth; When I see the "SEVEN", it reminds me that on the seventh day, God rested from His great work;
And when I see the "EIGHT", I think of the eight righteous persons God saved when He destroyed this earth.
There was Noah, his wife, their three sons and their wives; And when I see the "NINE", I think of the
lepers our Saviour cleansed. And nine out of the ten didn't even thank Him. When I see the "TEN", I think
of the Ten Commandments God handed down to Moses on a table of stone; When I see the "KING", it reminds
me that there is but one King of Heaven, God Almighty; And when I see the "QUEEN", I think of the Blessed
Virgin Mary, who is Queen of Heaven; And the "JACK" or "KNAVE" is the Devil; When
I count the number of spots on a deck of cards, I find 365, the number of days in a year; There;s 52 cards, the number of
weeks in a year; There's 4 suits, the number of weeks in a month; There's 12 picture cards, the number of months in a year;
There's 13 tricks, the number of weeks in a quarter; So you see, Sir, my pack of cards serves me as a Bible, Almanac and Prayer
Book. "And friends, this is a true story, because I was that soldier." ***********************************************
America My country, 'tis of thee, Sweet land of Liberty, Of thee I sing; Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrim's pride! From ev'ry mountain side, Let freedom ring! My native country thee,
Land of the noble free, Thy name I love. I love thy rocks and rills, Thy woods and templed hills; My heart
with rapture thrills, Like that above. Let music swell the breeze, And ring from all the trees, Sweet
freedom;s song. Let mortal tongues awake; Let all that breathe partake; Let rocks their silence break, the
sound prolong. Our fathers' God, to Thee, Author of Liberty, To Thee we sing. Long may our land
be bright, With freedom's holy light; Protect us by Thy might, Great God, our King! *********************************

the birds hush their singing And the melody that He gave to me within my heart is ringing (Chorus) I
stay in the garden with Him Though the night all around me is falling But He bids me go To the voice of woe The
voice to me is calling (Chorus) (last line of chorus repeated) None other has ever known. **********************************************

Memories.....from the musical "Cats" Midnight Not a sound from the pavement Has the
moon lost her memory She is smiling alone In the lamplight The withered leaves collect at my feet And the wind
begins to moan Memory, all alone in the moonlight I can dream of the old days Life was beautiful then I
remember the time I knew what happiness was Let the memory live again Every street lamp seems to beat A fatalistic
warning Someone mutters and the street lamp sputters Soon it will be morning Daylight I must wait
for the sunrise I must think of a new life and I mustn't give in When the dawn comes Tonight will be a
memory too And a new day will begin Burnt out ends of smoky days The stale court smell of morning A street
lamp dies Another night is over Another day is dawning Touch me, It is so easy to leave me All alone
with the memory Of my days in the sun If you'll touch me, You'll understand what happiness is Look, a
new day has begun... ****************************************** An American Trilogy Oh I wish I

Wind Beneath My Wings Ohhhh, oh, oh, oh, ohhh. It must have been cold there in my shadow, To never
have sunlight on your face. You were content to let me shine, that's your way. You always walked a step behind.
So I was the one with all the glory, While you were the one with all the strain. A beautiful face without a name
for so long. A beautiful smile to hide the pain. Did you ever know that you're my hero, And everything I
would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, For you are the wind beneath my wings. It might have appeared
to go unnoticed, But I've got it all here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it. I
would be nothing without you. Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. I
could fly higher than an eagle, For you are the wind beneath my wings. Did I ever tell you you're my hero? You're
everything, everything I wish I could be. Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle, For you are the wind beneath
my wings, 'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings. Oh, the wind beneath my wings. You, you, you, you are
the wind beneath my wings. Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high. Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings. Fly, fly, fly high against the sky, So high I almost touch
the sky. Thank you, thank you, Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings. *******************************************

Candle In The Wind Goodbye England's rose May you ever grow in our hearts You were the grace that placed
itself Where lives were torn apart You called out to our country And you whispered to those in pain Now you
belong to heaven And the stars spell out your name And it seems to me you lived your life Like a candle in
the wind Never fading with the sunset When the rain set in And your footsteps will always fall here Along
England's greenest hills Your candle's burned out long before Your legend ever will Loveliness we've lost
These empty days without your smile This torch we'll always carry For our nation's golden child And even though
we try The truth brings us to tears All our words cannot express The joy you brought us through the years
And it seems to me you lived your life Like a candle in the wind Never fading with the sunset When the rain
set in And your footsteps will always fall here Along England's greenest hills Your candle's burned our long before

There will be peace in the valley for me, some day There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray There'll
be no sadness, no sorrow No trouble, trouble I see There will be peace in the valley for me, for me Well
the bear will be gentle And the wolves will be tame And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes And the beasts
from the wild Shall be lit by a child And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes There

Ferry Cross the Mersey Life goes on day after day Hearts torn in every way So ferry 'cross the Mersey
'Cause this land's the place I love And here I'll stay People they rush everywhere Each with their own
secret care So ferry 'cross the Mersey And always take me there The place I love People around every
corner They seem to smile and say We don't care what your name is boy We'll never turn you away So I'll
continue to say Here I always will stay So ferry 'cross the Mersey' Cause this land's the place I love And

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on. I have seen Him in the watchfires Of a hundred circling
camps They have builded Him an altar In the evening dews and damps; I can read His righteous sentence By the
dim and flaring lamps; His day is marching on. Chorus I have read a fiery gospel writ In burnished
rows of steel: "As ye deal with My contemners, So with you My grace shall deal": Let the Hero born of
woman Crush the serpent with His heel, Since God is marching on. Chorus He has sounded forth the
trumpet That shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men Before His judgement seat; Oh,
be swift, my soul, to answer Him; Be jubilant, my feet; Our God is marching on. Chorus In the beauty
of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in His bosom That transfigures you and me; As He
died to make men holy, Let us die to make men free; While God is marching on. Chorus ************************************

We recently received an email from Patricia Welch asking us to provide
a link to her song entitled "United We'll Stand." . This is not only a very moving tribute song, it is an encouragement and
inspiration to all Americans! It is also unusual for such a noteworthy artist to contact a website directly to ask that a
link to their tribute be included. Pictured above with former President Bill Clinton, Patricia performed many musical theater
roles including Maria in "The Sound of Music," Marsinah in "Kismet," Hodel in "Fiddler On The Roof," and received rave reviews
for her outstanding performance as Maria in "West Side Story." She starred with the late Yul Brynner in the role of Tuptim
on Broadway in the famous musical "The King and I". Patricia had the honor of singing the National Anthem and "America The
Beautiful" on two separate occasions for former President Clinton, former President Ford, and General Schwarzkopf. Following
the tragedy of September 11th, Patricia and her husband, Pete DuBarry, wrote a patriotic song entitled "United We Stand".
They hope it will be a source of encouragement to all of those who have been affected by that tragedy. We feel they have more
than reached that goal, and encourage you to spend some time visiting her website by clicking the image above. For the
benefit of the Deaf Community and as an inspiration to all, we have pleasure in reproducing the lyrics here, we urge you again
to visit Patricia's website.
United We'll Stand
We arose from the ashes of the towers in the sky, We're
a proud, mighty nation and we hold our heads high!
Back from Ground Zero where we all shed a tear, We'll
show to the world that we won't live in fear.
They tried to destroy us on that fateful day, September
eleventh in our memory will stay.
With flags full unfurled, we'll fight night and day, To
protect and defend our American way!
So united we'll stand for the whole world to see We're
the home of the brave and we all will agree, United we'll stand in the land of the free!
They burned down a landmark but our hearts did not sway, And
we're makin' our come-back the American way!
We're children of freedom, and that's how we'll stay, No
terrorist cowards can take that away!
So united we'll stand for the whole world to see We're
the home of the brave and we all will agree, United we'll stand in the land of the free!
A new brand of hero emerged from the crowd, Brave Firemen,
Policemen, you sure made us proud!
No terror can daunt us, we'll fight to the end, Unwavering,
unfaltering that's the message we send.
We're children of freedom, and that's how we'll stay, No
terrorist cowards can take that away!
America, you're beautiful, honest and true, America we
love you, Our Red, White and Blue!
So united we'll stand for the whole world to see We're
the home of the brave and we all will agree, United we'll stand in the land of the free!
